Wyse Active Talent
Development Programme
The Wyse Active Talent Development Programme provides essential support to ensure athletes have the resources and opportunities needed to succeed.
The Programme seeks to identify and support top players in different age categories, with a special focus on the younger cohort (below 13 year old). It will also help to plug funding gaps for other older age categories where necessary.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Singaporeans as well as non-Singaporean student pass holders are eligible to apply for the Programme. Non-Singaporeans may constitute up to 30% of each cohort.
Criteria for selection into the programme (under Team A or B) include: SBA National Ranking, a selection interview, and trial sessions or trials with Wyse Active’s training arm YBadminton.

Funding & Other Support
Players at the Performance stage (Team A) will be fully funded under the Wyse Active Talent Development Programme. Players at the Growth stage (Team B) will receive subsidised support for training expenses and free registration for up to 4 local SBA-sanctioned competitions per year.
-
Training Expenses: Ensuring players have access to professional coaching and facilities.
-
Equipment: Providing high-quality gear for athletes to deliver optimal performances. These include rackets, training and competition jerseys, and shoes.
-
Competition Registration Fees: Covering competition fees for approved domestic and international competitions.
-
Travel for Tournaments: Funding travel expenses for domestic and international competitions, allowing players to compete on a global stage.
Players will also train and gain sparring experience with international players-in-residence as well as visiting international teams invited by Wyse Active/YBadminton.
The sponsorship/subsidies will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis.

Requirements & Expectations
Upon selection, players or their parents/guardians (for players aged 16 and below during the relevant calendar year) are required to sign an agreement on the terms and conditions of the sponsorship. For example, players will be required to:
-
Attend at least 80% of training sessions.
-
Train under YBadminton, Wyse Active’s training arm, at the Wyse Active Hub in Jurong.
-
Be in Wyse Active attire or have the Wyse Active logo on their attire for all competitions and badminton-related public appearances.
-
Represent Wyse Active in publicity/marketing or other relevant events where necessary.
Players will not be allowed to attend or represent another badminton academy whilst supported by the Wyse Active Talent Development Programme.
